Job Description

Cleans and keeps in an orderly condition, factory working areas, washrooms, conference rooms, break areas, first aid room, and offices. Duties involve but are not limited to sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors; removing trash and other refuse; dusting equipment furniture, or fixtures; polishing fixtures or trimmings; provide supplies and minor maintenance services.

This position may perform other duties as assigned or fill in for others in the department or other departments as needed or requested. May train or instruct fellow workers regarding duties.

Requirements

Education:

Ability to read and write. This is verified through the employment process.

Experience/ Skills:

Self-Starter / Ability to Multitask

Equipment Used:

Industrial cleaning equipment and solvents; domestic cleaning equipment.

Safety/ Safety of Others:

Must wear all company-required personal protective equipment in required areas. Care is necessary to avoid placing self and others in an unsafe environment.

Quality of Work:

Provide quality products and services to meet the needs of both internal and external customers. Quality of work impacts succeeding operations.

Physical Demand:

Requires continuous physical effort and repetitive motion work. Standing 60%, walking 40%. Lifts, pushes, pulls an average of 60 lb. Occasionally, 40 lb. Frequently, and 20 lb. Constantly.

Work Environment:

Exposures to atmospheric conditions, such as dust, fumes, and varying temperature extremes. Exposure to noise and various chemicals.
