Position Summary
Responsible for operation of automated assembly equipment and related equipment that is necessary to assure the production is of optimum quality.
Primary Functions
- Observe continuous operation of automatic assembly machines to ensure that products meet quality and customer specifications. Escalate any issues to shift supervisor and/or quality as necessary.
- Monitor production for adherence to quality specifications and notify the supervisor with potential problems.
- Regularly clean/wipe down molds. Perform deep cleaning of the assembly machines and other equipment, including removing guards to gain access to all areas requiring cleaning, following proper safety (LOTO) procedures.
- Troubleshoot automation equipment as needed, reporting machine jams, malfunctions, and robot crashes in a timely manner through proper chain of command.
- Maintain effective 6S methodology within and around the automation cell.
- Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Programs in the assembly cell.
- Maintain inventory control and material traceability records within work area.
- Understands and follows plant safety rules. Helps to identify and eliminate any safety hazard or concern. Assists in monitoring of quality of work output.
- Maintains compliance with company policy and procedures.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Responsible for reporting any problems or concerns to direct Supervisor.
- Maintains good working relations with all other employees. Strives to have no conflicts with other employees.
- Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Self-motivated to learn and perform job tasks to meet or exceed customer and company expectations.
- Demonstrates the capacity to work at an efficient rate to meet production goals and standards.
- Effectively communicates with others both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts, as applicable.
