With sales and service locations throughout the world, and over 100 years of battery experience, EnerSys is the power/full solution for stored DC power products.Job PurposeThe Inventory Control Clerk position involves material handling, production posting, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation. They will be involved in understanding shipping and receiving as well as all aspects related to inventory movement and consumption and must have a great deal of problem-solving and analytics to get to the root cause of any inventory discrepancies.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis list of tasks is illustrative only and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by this position. Persons in this position will perform all other tasks as assigned and work overtime as required:* Locate products in appropriate shelves, overstock, or storage.* Participate in daily cycle counts and annual physical inventory.* Assist in maintaining the security and safety of the company's warehouse.* Use systems to investigate inventory movement, potential reporting issues, identify inventory and its location, on-hand quantities and material coming in.* Investigate cycle count variances to try and resolve root of the issue and put corrective action in place with all team members.* Complete production and scrap postings every day.* Ability to operate forklift, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials.* Supporting continuous improvement efforts with team members to make processes more efficient and accurate.* Promote healthy and respectful communications with all teams to accomplish established goals as needed.* Some weekends, later/earlier shift starts may be needed based on inventory counts to be performed.* Utilization of system tools to ensure reporting of issues and tracking progress to improve (HeyDo).* Participate in A3, RIE, and EOS initiatives to further knowledge and understanding.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diplomaMinimum of one year of related materials or inventory experienceGood numerical analysis and accurate counting capabilities a mustKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and enterprise resource planning systems required.Preferred QualificationsBasic understanding of lean manufacturing, ISO quality procedures, and bill of materials.
