Job Summary
Assembles electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems to meet customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
- Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions.
- Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other using hand jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices.
- Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
- Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and/or cabinets.
- Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
- Performs intermediate assembly tasks such as: potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy, bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.
- Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
- Performs online go-no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production standards.
- Protect themselves and their co-workers by adhering to all company safety & health policies.
- Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or safety coordinator.
- Must work with the EHS department to ensure all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met; OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA and Amphenol sustainability practices.
- Must work with the Quality department to ensure all quality standards are met for AS9100 certification.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
RequirementsEducation: - High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 months of experience or training OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Passage of appropriate testing to advance in ABC certification program.
Physical: - Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stooping, twist, reach, reach overhead.
- Must be able to lift 0-10lbs frequently.
Shift: 2nd (3:45pm-2:15am).
Shift Differential: This position shall also receive an additional dollar per hour to their regular pay.
Knowledge:
