The Business Unit Manager will be responsible for leading all sales efforts including identifying market opportunities, perpetuating the brand, and delivering results through revenue growth. Maintain clear communication of customer requirements including but not limited to sales opportunities, business development, identification of leadership engagement plan, and market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing current accounts including sales forecasting, introduction of new part numbers, creating and running promotions.
  • Acquire market data through all available channels including direct dealer and end customer contact.
  • Lead team of Account Managers responsible for supporting current business, as well as organic growth.
  • Determine product offering based on market conditions and demand
  • Grow sales to new customers and partnerships.
  • Produce feasibility studies and business plans for new product development.
  • Lead and collaborate quote review approvals and proposal preparation/submission for new contract development.
  • Monitor external and internal environment for development of new market segments.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement plans in support of short and long-range objectives which are consistent with strategic Business Unit guidelines
  • Understand current and future market trends and customer purchasing strategies.
  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with our customers and internally to promote achievement of the above responsibilities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (inside sales, customer service, production, distribution).
  • Travel 50%.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business marketing, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Acute understanding of what drives the earnings of customer business and needed actions to improve it
  • Proven experience as a sales representative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service and rapport
  • Great persuasive and negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
