Position responsible for accuracy of content processed into the electronic catalog system. This is achieved by validating processes practiced by content techs are within departmental guidelines. Standards established for processing content are adhered to. As well as analyzing metrics, reviewing coverage, correcting discrepancies, and enhancing content by applying supplier provided content and creating value-add where appropriate
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Senior Content Technician reviews content being authored into eCatalog database for accuracy by performing a series of quality assurance processes over the content.
Within these processes the data is scrubbed for details such as content duplication, removal of abbreviation, spelling, proper structure, standards observance and updated vehicle coverage. Possible error patterns are observed and tracked for communication to department technicians, management and trading partner contact.
Senior technicians will mentor other technicians to improve overall productivity, accuracy and consistency of content being published.
Additional or supplemental processes will be authored by Senior technician to improve overall processing and ultimately complement trading partner provided content.
Action is taken over reported discrepancies covering validity of eCatalog content. A review and a quality assurance process are followed to take action over perceived concerns. Follow-up communication is completed to ensure reporting parties are aware of finding after QA process is completed.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Minimum of one year of practical experience over content management and implementation.
Three years of store level experience with a strong parts and accessory background.
Strong automotive product knowledge and understanding of automotive theories and repair procedures.
Experienced in database usage, content mining and analytics.
Associate/Bachelors Degree in business or computer science and/or equivalent work experience.
Previous experience in digital image editing/manipulation.
Practical experience with content management and reporting.
Thorough understanding of computers and desktop applications including MS SQL, MySQL, Excel, Access and Word products.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
