Description
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible in overseeing the maintenance and improvements to Springfield's existing sewer infrastructure by providing support to maintenance and inspection crews who ensure proper functionality of the City's 1200 miles of sanitary sewer.
Sanitary sewers are available to approximately 94% of the existing developments in the City of Springfield. While the remaining 6% of the city is currently without public sewers, City Council adopted the following priority in 1994: "Complete sanitary sewer system to cover 100% of City."

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience, Education, and Training

  • A minimum of four years of responsible experience in street maintenance or sewer operations, or equivalent, in the maintenance and repair of public infrastructure;
AND
  • One year in a crew leader or supervisory capacity.
PREFERRED
  • Experience in the maintenance of sanitary sewer systems

Licensing/Certification
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
