Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Manager, this position manages and directs all Maintenance activities and maintains the spare parts inventory.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading and developing teammates while fostering a team environment. Meeting or exceeding established goals (Safety, Process Reliability - PR%, cost, waste, quality, sanitation, and other performance standards) as they relate to plant performance. Responsible for performance metrics.
- Spare parts process leader/owner. Power user and business process owner for CMMS.
- Serving as a maintenance resource, as required, for Utility Mechanics in areas such as Effective Maintenance, Autonomous Maintenance, machine shop, maintenance planning, and lubrication processes.
- Supporting and developing McCormicks High Performance Work Systems (MHPS) Business Teams to ensure information flow, personnel development, problem-solving, goal-setting, and process improvements are integral to daily activities.
- Resource planning, daily management, and implementation of key initiatives including Safety, Effective Maintenance, supporting sustained levels of Autonomous Maintenance, and PR% improvements.
- Identifying, analyzing, and reducing equipment performance losses and eliminating repetitive loss events.
- Leading teams to develop cultural and actionable plans to ensure continuous improvement throughout the plant.
- Working cross-functionally to resolve issues.
- Managing cost spending, overtime, budget controls, and scheduling.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate or Bachelors Degree or a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant.
- Demonstrated experience improving Process Reliability (PR%) and/or Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE%).
- Experience with a CMMS, SAP, or other ERP tools.
- Experience maintaining manufacturing equipment.
- Experience delivering loss reduction in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, utilizing Root Cause Analysis processes.
- Strong interpersonal, team leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with a proactive approach.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours across three shifts as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, or a relevant technical field (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- Experience in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Understanding of business decisions based on financial, inventory, and customer service indicators.
- Participative management and leadership skills.
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry.
- Project management experience, including contractor oversight.
- Experience maintaining processing equipment.
- Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) experience.
- Food manufacturing experience.
