Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of electricians and other electrical workers on-site
  2. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations
  3. Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other project documentation
  4. Plan and execute electrical installations according to project specifications
  5. Monitor project progress and conduct quality inspections to ensure proper installations
  6. Manage project schedules, material procurement, and budget adherence
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues as they arise
  8. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless project integration
  9. Inspect and test electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair
  10. Maintain accurate records of project progress, employee performance, and compliance with regulations

Requirements

  1. Strong working knowledge of control systems, VFDs, motor starters, and PLCs.
  2. Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar design software.
  3. Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, UL508A, and relevant safety codes and standards
  4. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  5. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  6. Ability to travel as needed to support project execution and team coordination.

Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent work experience.
  2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Project Management within the Electrical and Commercial Construction industry.
  3. Proven experience in electrical estimating.
  4. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and safety standards.

Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders (rooftops included).

Required Skills & Abilities:

  1. Proven track record of successfully managing electrical teams and projects
  2. Proficiency with project management software and tools
  3. Supervise and coordinate work activities for electrical shop personnel, ensure services provided meet quality standards and scheduling demands.
  4. Lays out work for subordinate supervisors and lead persons.
  5. Jointly responsible with the Project Manager for having material, tools, equipment, information, and appropriate manpower.
  6. Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking and analytical skills
  7. Strong communication and leadership abilities
  8. Strong organizational and project management skills
  9. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations and equipment
  10. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  12. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
  13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  14. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  15. Evaluate work in progress to ensure Electrical services performed meet scheduling, budget and quality standards.
  16. Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment

Education & Experience:

  1. Background in Electrical with a minimum experience of 15 years.
  2. Experience in the industrial industry is a plus
  3. Experience in Troubleshooting electrical systems and components

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to exert up to 75 pounds of force (pulling, pushing, lifting, carrying, etc.).
  2. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for 12 or more hours (while working on pre-fabs, driving, etc.)
  3. Ability to work in narrow and tight spaces.
  4. Ability to climb and work from stairs or 6 ladder, bend, squat, kneel, balance, reach at waist level, shoulder level and above the head, walk on uneven terrain, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, twist, grasp to perform essential job functions.
  5. Ability to operate trucks and lifts in a safe manner and adhere to all company safety requirements. Must be able to travel to various jobsites across the United States.
