Our client, a leader in building automation and facilities management, is seeking a Sr. Controls Technician to join their team. As a Sr. Controls Technician, you will be part of the Service Department supporting building automation and energy management systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Sr. Controls Technician (Non-Licensed)
Location: Springfield, MO
Pay Range: $26 per hour
What's the Job?
Diagnose and repair complex electronic and digital control systems malfunctions
Conduct preventive maintenance, system installation, and commissioning activities
Provide technical recommendations and field proposals for system upgrades and retrofits
Interface with customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and communicate technical information effectively
Mentor and support control technicians and service team members on building automation activities
What's Needed?
Vocational School four-year program graduate or an Associate's degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a related field
Five to seven years of experience in servicing electronic control and HVAC equipment
Ability to coordinate work across multiple job sites and manage small retrofit projects
Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of control systems software languages
Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company professionally and explain technical details to diverse audiences
