POSITION SUMMARY:A Banquet Houseperson is responsible for setting up all equipment for banquet events beforehand and tearing it all down or resetting afterward. Anticipating and providing for the needs of the guests while upholding banquet standards and following company policies.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* Ability to understand their houseperson lists and the groups BEO's/diagrams and set the event spaces accordingly.* Keep storage areas/vehicle clean and organized at all times.* Ensure all event spaces are clean and set in accordance with banquet standards/expectations for every event.* Must move tables, chairs, linens, staging from location to location as needed.* Vacuum floors, remove trash, straighten chairs, polish water glasses.* Ensure all guest adjustments are made when possible even if rooms are already set.* ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNEDEXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:* Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent* Certificate(s) or License(s): Upon onboarding you must obtain food handlers and alcohol servsafe certificates.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:* Good communication* Teamwork* DedicationTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:* Must have valid license and pass the necessary requirements of the company to drive company vehicles to/from our off-property banquet venues.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Regularly walks, stands, and lifts up to 50 lbs.Seldom/Never sits or does computer work.INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor.
