About Us: Springfield Leather Co. is an ever-growing business with over 60 employees and 28,000 square feet of space, including two warehouses that total approximately 8-9,000 square feet. Housing close to 2 million square feet of leather and over 12,000 different products for resale, we are currently seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team and contribute to our expanding operations.

Job Summary: As a Warehouse Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for receiving shipments, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, verifying delivered items, sorting and organizing shipments, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational and math skills, a keen memory, proficiency in using a computer, and the ability to problem-solve, think creatively, and make critical decisions in an environment where there are no black and white rules.

Position Details:

• Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm with flexibility
• Starting Wage: $16.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

1. Receive shipments, verify items delivered, and follow the SOP for inventory and labeling.
2. Sort and organize delivered shipments by priority.
3. Label, stock, and help with any shipment discrepancies.
4. Assist with the stocking of the warehouse as necessary.
5. Demonstrate a sense of urgency and the ability to work in an environment without black and white rules.
6. Contact vendors and accounting with changes or updated information pertaining the shipments.
7. Collaborate with other department and leads to ensure smooth flow of inventory into and out of the warehouse.
8. Lift up to 50 pounds, stand or walk all day, and climb ladders as needed.
9. Learn how to run and operate a forklift.

2. Keen memory and attention to detail.
3. Proficiency in using a computer.
4. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
5. Ability to think creatively and adapt to different situations.
6. Capacity to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting, standing, walking, and climbing ladders.

Measurements of Success:

1. Turnaround time from receiving to storage.
2. Accuracy of received goods vs. purchase orders.
3. Rate of discrepancies and speed of resolution
4. Team morale and productivity metrics
